These are 2 separate cards with the same design and 2 differently placed cancels.

I probably should have started with these...

Hey, that SIPEX 66 card is a winner! Check Ken Barr's retail price on that one. You rarely see those with a show cancel, because at that time collectors weren't sure what to make of them. It took until the early '70s for people to start regularly adding show cancels to souvenir cards.

I'll post some of mine. I don't usually collect these, unless I was at a show and had the stamps cancelled myself. But sometimes if a show cancel is priced the same as a mint card, then I get a bonus. Here are my ABN show-cancelled cards. I'll scan some others later.

This last one amuses me. Apparently the Post Office forgot to insert the date stamp into the show cancel. So they had to cancel it again later with a generic circular date stamp. [rolleyes]

Okay, some show-cancelled BEP cards today. Most of these were ones that I did myself, so I picked thematic stamps. After going through these I have to say I'm disappointed in the IPMS for lacking the originality to their change their show cancel over the years.

Nice. Really like the $10,000 and $20 large golds.

Nice... I know it sounds strange, but I actually prefer the cancelled souvenir cards over clean virgin cards.

Not strange at all -- they certainly add more color and variety to the cards. Although I've seen some ugly examples, too, by collectors who overdid it.

Found some more in another album. I was kind of surprised at how many show cancelled cards I actually have!

Found a couple more obscure cards with show cancels: MB-41 and M-4. The Metro Chapter card is the only one I'm aware of that actually mentions souvenir cards in the cancellation and includes the SCCS logo. The full cancel on this particular card missed the stamp, so they hit it again to tie it to the card.

I came across an interesting site today, which details the Canadian Philatelic Exhibitions (CAPEX), complete with a number of show-cancelled souvenir cards. Here's one you rarely see cancelled, let alone with United Nations first day cancel!

We list three pulled proofs as B-123, B-128 & B-131

Here are show cancelled versions with matching thematic stamps

Those cards are fantastic. You almost never see them at all, let alone show cancelled. Thanks for posting!
