My own collection is fairly complete, but I regularly come across cards and intaglio prints on eBay and elsewhere that would be a great deal for other collectors. I thought it would be nice if we had a thread where forum members could share these deals with each other.

Here's a nice example of B-127 for under $10 -- and free shipping! This large BEP vignette is gorgeous in hand.

This set of six Semi-Officials is a great deal for under $28. If you're a collector of obsolete notes many of these portraits will look familiar -- they show up on a lot of notes. https://m.ebay.com/itm/6-Six-Different-1994-American-Bank-Note-Company-Stamp-Show-Cards-All-XF-F-/352065894816?nav=SEARCH

Greg,

I ended up buying both the lots you posted with an Ebay Bonus Offer. It is a decent start!

I dont know if I should thank you or chastise you for helping to start/feed an addiction... I guess, thanks! [confused]

They are good deals, but Greg is a BAD influence but in a good way.  I recently bought a notebook full of souvenir cards - small collection of about 100 cards.  So he got me too....  Guess I'm not downsizing anymore...  [confused]

I think this one is a good price with free shipping.  Nice looking card and only 1000 made.

Glad to see one of our forum members end up with these! At least it's a relatively cheap addiction. [biggrin]

Just finished re-reading that thread. [smile]

Added: Control myself, only this one (FM 10) since it's MPC related. [nono] Series 481 $1.

That's really weird -- I wonder why only those images dropped out. This would be a question for Rod.

Just started looking at this branch of the forum.
SO4 Philly card @ $95 BIN.

That is a great card, but a bit on the pricey end. Still, you probably won't find these offered for sale very often.

That's about the time we had a database error on the host side.  Some pics would drop out and have weird links in place and not work.  After a day or two, the host fixed it, but there was no way to recover the posted images.

Greg - unfortunately, you will just have to edit those posts and put the pictures back in place if you want them to show up.

You're in deep now John just like me.  I just bought this collection of just over 100 cards in a binder.  Lots of goodies inside....

I'm going to try and make it to the ANA show Philadelphia next month just to meet Greg.  Just to thank him in person for getting me roped into this new collecting endeavor.  Just what I needed was something else to collect like I need another hole in my head.... LOL.

Here's a super deal on a couple little Canadian cards you don't see too often, SO-48 & 49.

More Canadian cards! This is a very pretty set of SO-6, 7, 8, and it's being offered cheap by two sellers:

US seller

From Canada  EDIT: The Canadian seller boosted his price, so not such a good deal now.

You don't have to be a stamp collector to appreciate the fine engraving on two of the cards. The Wheel of Progress vignette shows up on a number of ABNC stocks and at least one banknote.

Not necessarily cheap but certainly some very interesting card related stuff.

John Denune had a bunch of intaglio prints done from several plates by Canadian engraver Yves Baril. These weren't souvenir cards because they weren't issued for an event -- so they aren't in the SCCS catalog. I have the set of 5 different colors. Here's the purple one, along with the info card that came with it. I was unaware of the micro-printed signature until now. That's going on a different thread.

This is kind of a boring little group of philatelic cards, but there's a good one in the bunch: PS-61, the Statue of Liberty card with copper embossing. That one makes the whole batch a good buy for about $8.50 total.

Dang! That really was a steal!

The 1992 BEP Columbus intaglio prints tend to get a little expensive, but I found a couple at good prices:

B-154 (blue)  and B-157 (red).
