Whoa! Those are impressive. Expensive, but pretty reasonable starting bids: $3750 each for the $1 and $2. It'll be interesting to see how much bidding they generate. Lots 5043 and 5048, if anyone else is interested. And there's some other very interesting proofs and essays in this one.

I saw those as well and immediately was drooling. Then VERY quickly stashed my checkbook!!! Question though, are the 00000000's punch through or impressions?

Wow, the $1 and $5 Educational proofs got no bids, and the $2 went for $4560 -- much below expectations. I wonder if this indicates a soft market or an overly optimistic auction house. The only one that brought big bucks was a proof of the unissued $10 Educational, which was sold for $20,000.
