I had about a 2 month wait for one recently but that came from China so you got me beat by several factors.

Also I mailed out something to Canada and told the guy that it would take 2 months or so for it to arrive. I don't think he believed me but here we are with an estimated delivery date of July 7th and I am not holding my breath for it to be on time... Last update May 23rd.

This one has made no progress and the buyer has now asked for a refund. I went ahead and gave it after I had him confirm through ebay system he would repay if/when it shows up. I did everything I was supposed to and so did the buyer... Not worth the hassel for me to try and ship to Canada if I have to deal with this stuff... I don't ship anywhere else without Global Shipping Program but the GSP, is priced ridiculously high for the buyer.

I might have a winner. 4 Months

So I just got a package from China that I bought from Ebay and it was purchased on March 19th 2020... I am a bit embarrassed to tell you I actually had not noticed I didn't receive it for so long...

My note from China arrived today.  Purchased it on March 17, 2020 and arrived July 14, 2020.  Talk about a long trip.  The lady from China was very helpful and chatted via email providing updates and tracking information.  The note was shipped to a business so I have to go pick it up tomorrow.  I'm just glad it finally made it.  I still have others outstanding.

Sweating the arrival of an international package here as well, this one from England.   No activity on tracking since 7/6, and no estimated delivery date.    I opened a case on Friday with international tracking on the USPS 1-800 number.   The guy I spoke with said it cleared customs, which was his main concern, and told me once it clears customs you are usually home free.   He said it should be showing up in NH any day.    On Saturday, I get an email stating that it's still in customs as of 7/1 and there is no tracking after that.   Not sure what they were looking at to come to that conclusion, as tracking shows activity on 7/2 and a general status update on 7/6.
Today, I get an email referencing the case number asking me to rate the service I received from the USPS, which I thought was odd for an open case.   I called to check the status and the woman I spoke with said the case was closed, as the package was handed off to an "external carrier" on 7/2, and no further information was available.    She couldn't name the external carrier, and just kept repeating that it was no longer in the possession of the post office.   I pointed out that it was "moving within the USPS network" on the the USPS tracking as of 7/6, and all she could suggest was contact the British postal service.

All I can say to anyone who has the unfortunate luck to have an incoming international parcel go through the Queens customs portal, "Good Luck"! I have had 3 so far go astray and missing, to NEVER arrive. One explanation I received was that there is soooo much mail and parcels there that it takes 4 times as long to sort through them. Some go through in one shot, others can take weeks just to leave the facility. I received a parcel from Bulgaria in a little less than 2 weeks. Another item from Italy landed in the Queens facility and never surfaced, yet.

Oh I have another one.  March 26th and still pending.  It hasn't even been shipped lol.  At least the company is still communicating with me.   The businesses who ignore phone calls, emails, and messenger messages are frustrating.

On the opposite side of the spectrum I just received a package from China that shipped out on Monday. Granted it was $40 shipping but the $ value was also fairly high...

Finally, on Thursday 7/16, lost package arrived at the Nashua NH distribution center, two weeks after leaving New York.   I was prepared for a mangled mess in a body bag when I picked it up Saturday, but luckily it was in perfect shape.   The part that gets me is you talk to four different USPS employees, and you get four completely different answers.

The incoming terminal at JFK is a notorious black hole for registered and insured packages from Europe.  Some postal employee has put together a fairly nice collection.

Not hobby related, but my office has a registered package that was sent from a government office in Alberta in February and has repeatedly bounced between points in Canada.   The closest it came was Toronto before heading back west.

Well I filed a case with the USPS after my item was "moving to the next location" for nearly a week. I received contact the same day and a full follow up the next day with my item being scanned in at St. Louis. So with any luck I will get it this week. Even my local postal worker said Queens is a slowwwwww terminal.

I wonder if there are mail hubs in certain cities that are overwhelmed and slowing up anything that passes through them. Or perhaps they are rerouting mail to any other city just to get it out of their facility.

A report came out the other day that they are trying to cost save by eliminating overtime so guess what doesn't get done in 8 hours waits until tomorrow and the vicious cycle continues.

Take it as you will:
