Back in the 1980s (maybe even earlier) British American Bank Note Co. in Canada began printing small desk calendars that they would give out to clients. I don't know how I heard about this, but for several years I would diligently request these and they would graciously send one to me. I have four years: 1981, 82, 83, and 88. I know they continued printing these at least until 1999. Somewhere around 1981 the company changed its name to BA Bank Note Group.

Each panel of the calendar has one side printed in intaglio and the other side is the calendar month, in offset. The intaglio side has a vignette at the bottom and each year typically had a theme -- railroads, ships, waterfalls, etc.

I've been scanning these for CurrencyDen1, who plans to include them in the next edition of "The Catalog of Printers' Test Notes." I will post these a year at time, so as not to overwhelm anyone.

And here's the 1982 calendar. The theme was 19th century farm life, I think.

1983 calendar. This one features steam locomotives; one of my favorites.

Okay, last batch. These are from the 1988 calendar -- if you like waterfalls, you'll like this one.

Here are some with the apparent theme of "Horses on the Farm."  These were, unfortunately, cut from the calendar and pasted back-to-back by a previous owner, so I do not know what year they are from.  I also only have 9 from the set.

I checked with a collector friend who has a number of these. He says the farm horse calendar was for 1984. Really nice vignettes, thanks for posting them!
