IPMS 2020 Postponed Indefinitely

Dear Friends,

We have determined that we are forced to cancel the 44th annual IPMS show scheduled for June 10-13 in Kansas City, Missouri at the Sheraton Crown Center Hotel and Convention Center.

We are providing written notification to the hotel today, April 16th, so our room block will be cancelled, and cancellations of rooms can begin. The Sheraton has been working well with us during this tricky time, but they understand that no one much wants to get on a flight or be subject to quarantine before leaving or arrival. Let's stay close to home and remain safe and healthy.

We are currently working on the auction catalogs (online only) and other events and offerings we can do through our online platforms.

Our next US currency and National banknotes auction is online now and closing live on April 20th at 2 PM CST. This sale contains a wide variety of over 800 lots. May will offer at least 2 different auctions, both US and World. In June we will be offering a wide variety of banknotes, checks, stocks, bonds, currency, polymer, tyvek. Everything imaginable from unusual to really valuable.

We are currently processing payments and sending shipments worldwide, but we can or will hold packages that we feel would be better held in Kansas just a little bit longer. Let's be safe not sorry.

I have not given up on the possibility for holding an event later in 2020, but we are working on a 2021 date in Las Vegas within our early summer time frame.

We are saddened by the cancellation, but we have a renewal spirit for 2021 IMPS.

Heard this a while back and it is 100% soul crushing!!!

This is my favorite show of the year.  I'm involved with the SPMC ...and that surrounds a large portion of the great fun to be had at IPMS with the SPMC Breakfast, Awards, and Raffle (I won a CU 1918 Kansas City Ace last year!).

In addition, I've been dipping my toes in the water the past few years as a presenter for the "Free Educational Speaker Series" along with other phenomenal speakers.  I had a great small size market pricing update in the works ...I previewed some of this material at the FUN Show earlier this year.

The health and safety of the populace is of extreme importance, but man this is quickly becoming a really tough year!  ðŸ˜¥ðŸ˜

Very disappointed of course but I'm thrilled to hear that the show is moving to Vegas!  That's huge for me as I can drive there in about 3.5 hours and it will save the airline/airport inconvenience and expenses as well as offer up a much better selection and pricing of hotels to choose from.

I'm looking forward to Vegas too!

The one last hoorah in KC at our exclusive house party was going to be sooo epic! ðŸ˜ŽðŸ»

Yeah I'm bummed out too.  Thanks for letting me and Corey in on that.  Would have been fun.

I like to drive to shows.  Cannot drive to Las Vegas - too far.

Disappointing (was planning on attending this year), but hardly unexpected. Las Vegas sounds good to me as well.

Vegas is nowhere near a sure thing just yet...the press release says they're working on it...not too long ago, some town near Baltimore was going to be IT and that didn't come to fruition. Let's see what transpires before booking those airline reservations to Vegas!😎

I think Vegas should be easy to find something since there are so many options there.  Fingers crossed.

Yeah we all would like to be able to drive to shows.  Y'all have had your time now it's time for us West coast peeps to have our turn to drive to a show finally.
