What is more staggering is that there was competition that went this high! More than one person valued these. Crazy!

Didn't realize that Mike Bloomberg was interested in those notes. I guess now that he stopped his campaign,  he has extra money laying around.

I haven't been buying auction lately, just selling except for buying for client or an occasional score onEbay. What was for sale in pack form?

Your right Greg, lot # 67070 is a head scratcher for sure.

Take a look at Lot # 67080 as well.  I was still trying to wrap my head around that one.
3 notes #79797979  EST (250-350) sells for $1300 plus 20% = $1550 (another O.M.G moment?)

Gee, perhaps all this time I have been collecting the wrong numbers, 68, 86, and 79...those should have been higher on my list! LOL

Wow I stole my notes. Glad those bidders didn’t want my serial numbers.

Are you spying on me Greg?  Yup, compared to those other prices.

Actually, I was a little surprised Greg even bothered to use a question mark.  35353535
I'm guessing he had a pretty strong hunch about that one.
Great pick up on your notes mfontes, you got them at good price and it would have took forever to find them one by one.
Getting something you really want at a great price, does it get any better than that?  (I know, rhetorical question)

Everyone indulge me for a moment, I'm going to channel my inner Nostradamus like Greg did.
Let's suppose Steve In Tampa writes...Wow I stole my notes. Glad those bidders didn’t want my serial numbers.

I might reply with...wait for it....12121212  ðŸ˜‚  (I know, too obvious.  But there's got to be 1 lurker somewhere thinking "it must be an inside joke.")

I’m occasionally reminded of others, but the ones that stick in my mind are Marc with #35, Jim in DC with #27 and the ever popular Jim61 with #61.

It's always fun when our group of friends at Memphis/Kansas City all try to get the #61 SPMC breakfast ticket for Jim every year!  Tookybandit and Cliff usually win out on that. 😃

There are probably 7 numbers on this forum that are really well known, but if there is an A list celebrity among them, it's definitely 61!

It took me a minute and I finally found the “Forum Member’s Serial Number Want List” thread. Posted in August 2013 by member @Constantine and last commented on last year.  https://www.papermoneyforum.com/post/forum-members-serial-number-want-list-8609032?&trail=25

Back in 2013, this was posted on the Collectors Universe (PCGS) forum. My screen name at the time was mbwizkid.
