There is nothing remarkable about this note other than it fills a void in this particular series of my Texas. So, in that regard, I was happy to get it at a decent price on ebay last week. But, holy cow this is one ugly holder. Not to mention, it is very flimsy and actually has a few kinks/crinkles in the actual holder that hopefully hasn't carried over to the note. It looks it was done in someone's kitchen with Grandma's typewriter. It also doesn't even list the most basic of basics of the Criswell number. What a waste of time to study a note for a grade and then holster it with no other information in such an unappealing, unprotective package. Just my 2 cents :-)

I keep some holders intact if they are not obtrusive to displaying. Otherwise, I cut the top of the holder off and tape it to the back if the note has no engraving on the reverse. Examples below.

I lived in Texas for over 7 years previously and I enjoyed my time there.  Those are interesting notes.  I have never seen them before.  I also have never heard of that grading company either.  Hopefully they are currently out of business so they can not add more ugly holders to our hobby.
