I really liked this note when I was deciding what to bid on in the HA auctions. I liked the estimate as well! But this one aint gonna happen...

Thought I would highlight it because, well this note is spectacular!

I like it also, but not $8200 worth.

Wow,blew that opening estimate out of the water!

The estimate may be a typo. I think that it should have been "$20,000-up".

" A PMG Choice Very Fine 35 example sold in 2017 for $14,820, a number which should easily be eclipsed by this banknote, which is superior by two grade tiers"

So far no one bidding on the item I am looking at, but that will probably change😡

Edit to add - despite all the watchers nobody else hit the trigger.  Finally have an issued note from the smallest 20th century British bank that is one of the rarest 20th century British banknotes.

$2000 clearly a typo:
"A PMG Choice Very Fine 35 example sold in 2017 for $14,820, a number which should easily be eclipsed by this banknote"

Nice note ... wonder what it will sell for.

Well I now certainly agree with you. I didn't even get that far...

Saw the note as I was going through the listings and loved it. Thought 2x estimate at 4K seems very reasonable for that note! ðŸ˜‚

Didn't quite hit the 2017 high. This could be the plan B

The note in the original post went for $13.2K, cheers to the seller.

If I was in the market...I flagged a few just to see where they went and they sold fairly low.  And whoever got the 50 pound Maori note got it for a STEAL.  $11,400 with juice. Tomorrow's two Fiji 20 pound notes look like they're estimated too high.  The KGVI definitely is too high based on where Spink sold a few the past couple of years.  the QEII maybe not.
