Looking at purchasing a note from a reputable dealer. The note is graded 66 PPQ by the new PCGS Banknote.  All of my notes are PMG, so if I purchased the note I would do a crossover.  My question is, has anyone crossed anything over from PCGS Banknote to PMG?

I have not crossed any PCGS Banknotes and do not intend to buy any either holdered by that company

Did the dealer you purchased from have a personal opinion about the grade assigned to the note?  Some dealers I buy from add personal opinions on grade to their descriptions.  This additional information may help you in making your choice prior to sending to PMG if that is the ultimate outcome.

PCGS Banknote is perhaps too new for there to have been crossovers. Just a guess, at 66PPQ I doubt that there will be a big issue. Check the registration; PMG is oftem more focused on that than other factors.

@gnat PMG currently has 2 in this grade which is top pop. This note could be the third.

@Springfield I have not purchased the note yet. Just looking at the note from the scans I have.

@TomTomTomTom Will post sometime soon.

@gnat is correct. If you are crossing unc notes from ANY service to PMG, registration is key.

This would be an interesting experiment and we all would like to see the result.

It's not hard to make a PMG 66.  They give 66's to notes that I think should be 64/65.  I believe they start looking at registration more on 67 and up
