The top note was printed at Fort Worth, and the bottom at DC.

The BEP uses different font sizes for the back plate serials to distinguish notes printed at Fort Worth (larger font) from those printed at Washington DC (smaller font).  This is true of all denominations except $100s, which use the same smaller font size at both facilities.
