I got this fractional in the mail today and am wondering if it is in fact a counterfeit? Just doesn't look right to me in the portrait of George. Let me know what the minds think.

yes it is a CF..nothing right about the note unless you are collecting them...I'm sure that Dave will concur.....usually, if it doesn't look right, it's CF...goes for most modern currency also.

Anytime the person in the portrait looks like they are wearing one of those plastic Halloween masks, you can bet it's a counterfeit.

The easiest way to tell if it is a counterfeit is to look at the highlighted area of a genuine note shown below. The counterfeits don't have the two dark areas in the hair of the wig.
