I know it was locked away in a safe for decades before it was given to me, so I don't know if being kept away from the light preserved the colors or not.

Jules Karp, haven't heard that name in years.  My first mail order purchase ever was from him in the early 1980's for a $2 1/2 Indian.  I also believe it was my only return ever for a mail order purchase, as it was overgraded.

Yeah, Jules had a big mail order business ... he had quite the stock piled up in the basement of a downtown manhattan office building behind a boiler room

Wow. Makes my one rainbow seem sorta lonely, but here is my contribution to the thread anyway. The only thing I remember is that I picked it up at a local show a few decades ago. I have always enjoyed it. The color is great.
