Browsing Ebay for radar notes resulted in the following note popping up. The title lists RADAR-00600 but the description says the note may have a different serial number!

Anyone know who produced these "State Dollars"? Is it some foreign government or are they simply a domestic novelty? Just curious...

They’re a fantasy or private issue note. Printed by Applied Currency Concepts.

Yes, they are fantasy notes. I have a couple from other States somewhere which have 00061 serials. I didn't really go looking for them, but at a show a dealer had them pulled aside for me to look at. There are tone of these kinds of notes out there. Some even legal tender in the town they where issued for - like Eugene, OR if I remember correctly.

Before you put the scanner away 😉 do you have a larger version of this? I'd like to see what that microprinting says.

Dave here it is. hopefully you can read it OK.

eugene f001.jpg  If not you can click on it and blow it up - no TNT though. haha

Sorry had to block the rest of the note due to anti scan security on it.

Quite impressive, the work put into that. And to make it un-scannable seems to be a pretty complex thing too, I'd imagine. Thanks!

“Maybe it is considered script?“

As I learned from Rod a long time ago it’s Scrip.

The Eugene Skinners are considered Local Currency and are legal and were meant to circulate within a specified area (Eugene). The state notes are fantasy and have no value other than a collectible.

I said that due to the fact that many businesses accepted them. My bad.

I would love to have a Norton note but they are a little too pricey.
