I’m amazed at the prices these bring.

There are many scarce & rare food stamp dates and month codes including the star replacements.
As the collector base expands they will become extremely difficult to locate will demand higher prices.

I buy trade & sell food stamp books and coupons to improve my personal collection.

John, do you know whether all the early numbers (maybe the first 2000?) were stamped Specimen and distributed to retailers?

I have talk Tom C who is the co- author of the book on food stamp from the 90s he did not know the number.
He and I both have one of the specimen books in the low 400s

I am guessing any where for 500 to a few 1000.
I  believe these were used at welfare & distribution offices for training again only guessing.

I hope in the future to add a certified coupon to my collection.  It is nice that they are now legal to own.
