That reminds me I should probably help improve Wikipedia's articles about paper money. There are lots of long and detailed articles about coins, but coverage of banknotes is pretty cursory. That said, Wikipedia has lots of high-quality scans like these from the Smithsonian that are used in existing articles and could be used to illustrate new ones.
